Hair can sometimes feel like a tough subject, and we’re re-engineering the magic back into those conversations. Born from the need for products that truly work for thicker hair types. When resources are limited due to socioeconomics, lack of education, or geographic constraints—Unicoils blends nourishing ingredients with playful energy to turn hair into a celebration. Meet Our Founder

Hey, I’m Dajheonna Perry—the heart behind Unicoils.

At an early age, I was separated from my parents and spent time in the foster care system. During that season, everyday kitchen products became my only tools to care for my hair and skin—my way of creating a salon-like experience with what I had. That resourcefulness sparked a lifelong passion.

Unicoils was born right out of my university kitchen. Since then, I’ve earned both a Bachelor’s degree and an MBA, along with a cosmetology license. I was determined to understand the science behind hair and the business acumen needed to get product on shelves. When I’m not shipping Unicoils orders, I spend my time mentoring young girls in Atlanta Public Schools, teaching them about the power of education, confidence, and ownership over their future.

Unicoils is the result of years of product testing, packaging trials, chemistry experiments, pitch competitions, incubator programs, long classroom hours, failures, wins, and an unwavering faith in God that continues to guide my purpose and my community.

I remain deeply rooted in my Detroit beginnings, which is why every bottle proudly carries that hometown influence.
